Astana Piano Passion Meets Old Friends

At the opening ceremony of the International Festival of Classical Music and Competition of Young Pianists Astana Piano Passion 2019, the winners and laureates of international competitions from Japan, Russia and Kazakhstan will perform.

On May 12, the Jubilee V International Festival-Competition of Young Pianists, Astana Piano Passion 2019 will start with the concert “Grand Opening”.

In the debut concert of the forum, the winners of different years will enter the stage of the Astana-Opera theater with the art director of the festival People’s Artist of Russia Denis Matsuev.

Together with the unsurpassed maestro, the kazakh audience will be pleased with performances:

Sanzharali Kopbaev (Kazakhstan).

(The young pianist as a contestant entered the stage of the classical music festival Astana Piano Passion twice. And both times he had a success. So in 2013 Sanzharali Kopbaev was awarded the second prize, and in a year, in 2014 he won.)

Sanzharali is studying at the Republican Kazakh Secondary Specialized School for Gifted Children named after Akhmet Zhubanov on a class of piano, his teacher is Kazybekova Gulzhan Kaipbekovna.

(Laureate of the first prize at the International Festival of Classical Music and the 2014 Astana Piano Passion Young Pianists Competition).

Shio Okuiengaged in musicfrom the age of five. She studied at the Central Music School at the Moscow State Conservatory named after P.I. Tchaikovsky on a class of piano with teacher Elena Ashkenazi (1949-2017).

She performed with the orchestra for the first time аt the age of eight. She performed with the Mariinsky Theater Symphony Orchestra (conductor V. Gergiev),The National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia and the Moscow Virtuosos Orchestra (conductor by V. Spivakov), Russian National Orchestra (conductor M. Pletnev), Moscow Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra (conductor A. Anisimov),Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra (conductor by K. Akiyama),symphony orchestra New Japan Philharmonic(conductor K. Kobayashi), Governor's Symphony Orchestra of the Irkutsk Regional Philharmonic ( conductor I. Lapin), Symphony Orchestra of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine (conductor N. Dyadyura), Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra (conductor A. Arzumanyan), and others.

He studied at the Moscow State College of Musical Performance named after F. Chopin, his teacher was Sergey Artsibashev. Since 2018 he studies at Ecole Normale De Musique in Paris, and his teacher is Rena Shereshevskaya.

He has repeatedly performed with orchestras, including: the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia,the Spanish Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra,The Rostov Academic Symphony Orchestra , The Symphony Orchestra of the Astana Opera , the Governor's Orchestra of the Irkutsk Region.
